The scope of nonattest services is fairly open-ended, and the nature of these services evolves with the needs of clients. Some commonly cited examples include tax return preparation, financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, certain forensic accounting services, including investigative and some types of litigation services, and appraisal, valuation, and actuarial services. Numerous other types abound, though.
