What is a Certified Fraud Examiner?

Generally, this title indicates that the credential holder has met certain requirements established by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, including educational and professional standards, and has successfully completed all four parts of the CFE Exam. The certification integrates multiple disciplines in order to enhance the credential holder's overall perspective and capability related to fraud detection, deterrence, and prevention. Certified Fraud Examiners are bound by a strict code of professional standards and, by virtue of their ACFE membership, a code of professional ethics.
